David Moreno proudly joined the Law Office of Hartel, DeSantis & Howie in July 2017. He is an experienced, Maryland lawyer with litigation experience in family law matters such as divorce, custody, guardianship, child support, alimony, paternity and property division matters.

Mr. Moreno also handles family law matters related to immigration relief, such as special immigrant juvenile status, where he has helped Maryland parents and relatives gain custody and guardianship over their foreign-born minors throughout the State of Maryland, including Harford, Baltimore, Baltimore City, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George's and Anne Arundel Counties.

Since 2011, Mr. Moreno has represented Spanish-speaking clients in the Baltimore, Arlington, Newark, San Antonio, Harlingen and Houston Immigration Courts for their removal proceedings. Mr. Moreno also represents immigration clients for family-based petitions, such as green card applications, humanitarian visas & relief, such as U nonimmigrant visas and temporary protected status, and naturalization applications.

Mr. Moreno is an experienced personal injury attorney with experience negotiating with adjusters, achieving favorable settlements for his clients and successfully litigating personal injury matters such as automotive accidents.

Prior to joining Hartel, DeSantis & Howie, Mr. Moreno was a solo practitioner for 7 years while providing contract legal work for the last 3 years. His experiences administering each aspect of his client's cases from intake to trial gave him a deep understanding his client's needs and expectations.

Mr. Moreno is fluent in Spanish and conversational in French, which he learned as a former Peace Corps volunteer in Senegal, West Africa.
